Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Jeff and Devin have owned and operated an IT business for 12+ yrs. each. In 2012, they merged their companies
FourthBay LLC and Starbeam LLC to form Dayton Backup & IT Services LLC.
What is your primary product or service?
We are primarily an IT Managed Services, Data Backup and Disaster Recovery Services company.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Devin's degree is in IT. His first job was in California where he for 7 years. Jeff has an engineering degree and worked first designing and manufacturing custom monitors for high security governmental agencies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location because we are able to manage systems remotely. Very rarely do we need to physically go work on a client's computer system, so having multiple offices to be near clients is not necessary.
Which areas do you service?
We service small businesses in and around Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus areas.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Devin Campbell and Jeff Mangas are the co-owners and the IT engineers. We have other staff who work as IT technicians.
What are your hours of operation?
9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday are our normal business hours.
Emergency help is available for existing clients.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We know we have done a good job in communicating our value when our clients say that they sleep well at night because they know that should something happen, all of their data is safe and secure.
